Visitation: 11am-12pm (For those who can’t stay for the service.)

Service: 12pm

Sid (Siep) Henstra in his 84th year, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022 at Victoria Village Manor in Barrie.

Sid is survived by Carol, his loving and devoted wife of 60 years.

Loving Father to Andrew (Elizabeth); Liz (Paul); Aaron (Sheri)

Exceptional Grandfather to Melissa (Mike) and Derek; Shane and Evan; Tia and Braedon.

Sid was the eldest of 9 siblings who respected and loved him very much.

We will greatly miss his kind, sweet and caring heart and his hilarious sense of humour. We’ll miss his big smile and all those silly facial expressions!

My deepest condolences to my Aunt Carol, cousins Andrew & Liz, Liz & Paul, Aaron & Sheri and all their families. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of Aunt Carol and Uncle Seep (not sure why but he was always Uncle Seep) and the family coming to visit at the farm and at the cottage. RIP

Dear Andrew and family, my sincere condolences for your loss. I remember your father well when l worked my summers at Betz Cut Stone. He was a great guy and stone mason. He actually helped build our family home at the lake in Little Britain, where my mother still resides, so l still see your father in the home. All the best to you and yours.

Sid was an incredible person and friend, I will always appreciate that time that he talked to the landlord where we used to live next door, so I could stay there. Sid was a really happy kind person. I'm sad that he is not here anymore but I'm glad he's not suffering, and that he's up there in heaven where it's peaceful.
